Paulo Freire distinguishes between a banking education, aimed at the submission of the people, and a dialogical one, that aims to emancipate it. Question is the main tool to achieve that end. Gadamer extends the meaning of that question by locating it in the midst of two places: the essential privacy and the transcendentality of the issues taken into question. Finally, Maria Zambrano closes the circle. The Spanish philosopher clarifies maestro, against teacher («profesor»), assist the apprentice to discover his own way by means of this type of question, that is, to be critical of the educator in order to reach his own destiny and vocation.
