Biežākā ekstensīvā rezistence tika noteikta A. baumannii 54,5% gadījumu. Lielākais MAR indekss tika noteikts A. baumannii (0,52) un K. pneumoniae (0,34). Veicot testus ar ēteriskajām eļļām, spēcīgākā antibakteriālā iedarbība tika noteikta oregano eļļai, taču vājākā - smiltsērkšķu eļļai. Atslēgvārdi: Antibakteriālā rezistence, multirezistence, gramnegatīvās baktērijas, ēteriskās eļļas. ; The topicality: Antibacterial resistance is a growing global problem. Improving people's understanding of antibacterial resistance to prevent the problem from worsening, as well as finding new ways to treat infections, is of primary importance. Essential oils could be a potential antimicrobial agent. The aim: Determine all gram-negative bacteria isolates in the Traumatology and Orthopaedic Hospital in 2022 and analyse their resistance to antibacterial agents and essential oils. Results: A total of 624 samples of gram-negative bacteria were collected, of which 26% were multiresistant and 12% were extensively resistant. The most frequent extensive resistance was determined in A. baumannii in 54.5% of cases. The highest MAR index was determined for A. baumannii and K. pneumoniae - 0.52 and 0.34, respectively. When conducting tests with essential oils, the strongest antibacterial effect was determined for oregano oil, but the weakest for sea buckthorn oil. Keywords: Antibacterial resistance, multiresistance, gram-negative bacteria, essential oils.
