The results of experimental testing of the strain characteristics of optical fibers at essential longitudinal stretching forces based on Brillouin backscatter spectrum analysis are presented in this work. Problems arising in practical tests with essential longitudinal stretching forces are considered. The reflectograms of Brillouin backscatter spectrum are shown. Brillouin frequency shift dependences and corresponding dependences of the fibers strain at different longitudinal stretching forces are presented. The experimental reflectograms of fibers strain with better quality have been received in case of high longitudinal stretching stresses.
