A recent study conducted by researchers at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in China has focused on the identification of essential plasma proteins that may be linked to Alzheimer's disease (AD). The study proposes a novel method called manifold regularized sparse group-lasso (MSGL) to identify these proteins. By using a combination of gene ontology, spectral clustering, and support vector machine (SVM) classification, the researchers achieved a classification accuracy of 97.5% in distinguishing AD patients. This research provides potential insights into the early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. [Extracted from the article]
