Cala Health has announced the results of multiple clinical studies that support the effectiveness of their Transcutaneous Afferent Patterned Stimulation (TAPS) therapy in treating Essential Tremor (ET) patients. A randomized trial found that adding TAPS therapy to standard care improved outcomes for patients, with significant improvements in tremor power and upper limb scores. A real-world evidence analysis showed consistent relief for patients using TAPS therapy over multiple years, with an average reduction in tremor power of 64%. A secondary analysis found significant improvement in patients with high unmet need and early responders to TAPS therapy. Cala Health is working to secure additional coverage and reimbursement for ET patients. [Extracted from the article]
