This article reports that the Marketing Society has teamed up with Brand Learning to develop a marketing capability development programme aimed specifically at imminent or new marketing directors. Andy Bird, joint managing partner of Brand Learning, says the Marketing Leaders programme has been developed to help remove a "training gap" among mid-level marketers. Hugh Burkitt, chief executive of the Marketing Society, adds that the programme provides insights and tools to help marketers handle the challenges involved in assuming a leadership position, by strengthening their strategic marketing and leadership skills.
