The essential oils from the inflorescences, flowers, leaves, stems and roots ofArtemisia campestrisL. subsp.campestriswere analyzed by GC and GC/MS. About 120 compounds were identified. The inflorescence oil, flower oil and leaf oil contained mainly germacrene D (24.2%, 28.0% and 27.8%, respectively), β-caryophyllene (6.5%, 5.9% and 4.2%, respectively) and γ-humulene (4.9%, 6.2% and 8.2%, respectively). (Z)-falcarinol (19.0% and 38.8%, respectively) was the main constituent of the stem and root oils. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
