The article discusses the provisions from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) that could expand access to nutrition counseling. Title I of the ACA was made to ensure that all Americans have access to health insurance. ACA determines that a state's plan to run an exchange must be authorized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services no later than January 1,2013. Section 1302 in Title I of the ACA specifies items and services to be included in the benefits package.
