This article discusses the chemical composition and antimicrobial activity of the essential oils of a newly discovered species of the Piper genus found in Central Vietnam. The study identifies 43 compounds in the oils, with terpenoids being the predominant chemical class. The oils exhibit strong antimicrobial activity against three Gram-positive bacteria. The research contributes to the understanding of the chemical properties and potential uses of Piper species. [Extracted from the article]
