This article discusses the chemical composition and bioactivities of essential oils derived from Caryopteris terniflora and Aloysia citriodora. The essential oil from Caryopteris terniflora contains numerous compounds, with sesquiterpenoids being the most abundant. The essential oils from Aloysia citriodora, specifically the FEO, exhibit antioxidant, skin whitening, and antiproliferative activities. The FEO is particularly effective due to its higher content of Cedrol and alcohol-hydroxyl compounds, as well as enols. These findings suggest potential applications for these essential oils in various industries and clinical trials for cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
