The article discusses an analysis on the chemical composition of three salvia species' essential oils, growing in Iran. It says that analysis of S. urumiensis, S. chloroleuca, and S. xanthocheila was performed through gas chromatography and was subjected to hydrostillation. Results show that total essential oil compositions of S. urumiensis were characterized by spathulenol, S. chloroleuca by monoterpene, and S. xanthocheila's oil is comprised of germacrene, caryophyllene oxide, and spathulenol.
