The article presents a study which determines the difference and similarity of essential oil of two Rosa x damascena genotypes found in Iran. The study utilized the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is identifying the variability of two rose species yielded essential oils. The major constituents of the essential oil of two Rosa x damascena genotypes include citronellol, nonadecane, and geraniol.
