The article presents a study which aims to identify the chemical compositions of the essential oils of Callistemon polandii in northern India. An overview of the specie's distribution in the country is presented. It states that the essentials oils were obtained through conventional hydrodistillation of the leaf and stem of the specie. Using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), chemical components were identified which include palmitic acid, myristic acid, and caryophyllene oxide.
