The article presents the seventh part of the eight series of the story "Spy and Counterspy," by Clarence Budington Kelland. It talks about Thomas Alva Edison Gimp who was convicted treason by the two communist agents. Kelland's job was research on electronic brain, but he was also called on the intelligence-and-security officer, Major Van Tunyl, to associate with persons to reveal a plot to steal a "mechanical brain."
